Scar Revision (Scar Aesthetics)
Scar aesthetics, that is, scar revision, is an operation applied to alleviate the appearance of scars caused by various reasons. We can say that plastic surgery methods can be applied to alleviate the appearance of scars or, if possible, to completely remove them, as well as non-surgical methods.
Depending on the type of injury in any part of the body, the location of the wound, the methods used for repair, skin structure, and skin elasticity, your scar may have different depths and appearances. However, we should also state that scar revision can be performed for any type of scar.
Scar treatment is applied for the healing of scars and cuts that occur in the body for different reasons. Even if the wound is closed by itself, the scars may persist for a long time in the scars caused by the surgery, such as cut marks and injuries. Scars differ according to the genetic structure of the person, the region of the wound, age, race, skin type and health status. A wound of the same severity may not have the same effect on everyone.
The result of aesthetic interventions applied for scars is permanent. After 6 months to 1 year after the healing of the wound, you can have an aesthetic intervention for the removal of the scar or the lightening of its appearance. The operation is performed under local anesthesia. The patient is discharged immediately after the application and can return to his daily life.
