Lip Aesthetics (Liplift)

Lip aesthetic operation is an operation that is applied to patients who complain about lip size and has permanent results. With aging, sagging occurs in the upper lip such as eyebrows, eyelids, cheeks and neck. With aging, deformations and wrinkles may occur in the mucous membrane and lip cover. For this reason, the need for lip aesthetics is seen more in advanced ages. There are signs of lip aging, such as lengthening of the lip-nose distance and turning inward on the sides of the upper lip with age. In addition to sagging due to age, structural lip aesthetics may be needed. Unfortunately, incorrect filling applications can also cause permanent damage to the lips.

Patients who need lip aesthetics usually perform lip augmentation without being aware of this need, but they are not satisfied with the result. Because with incorrectly applied lip fillers, the lips can get longer and gain an uncomfortable appearance that is incompatible with the face.

Although lip lift due to aging is performed more frequently, the number of young patients who come with the request of lip lift has been increasing recently. Especially young patients with long lip-to-nose distance and thin lip structure want a permanent and one-time treatment instead of gradual lip augmentation with filling procedures.

The solution to such problems is lip aesthetic operation. There are two types of surgical methods here. In one, the lip parts that are desired to be lifted are pulled upwards with hidden incisions made from the base of the nose. This process also shortens the lip-nose distance. The other method is the incisions made on the inner part of the lip, the mucous membrane and lip covering are adjusted and the inner length of the lip is shortened. With this process, in which the lip is turned in the opposite direction, the muscles are also intervened for tightening and the lip is given a good appearance.

The surgery can be performed under general or local anesthesia and usually takes 1 hour. After the operation, the patient is discharged directly. It is necessary to avoid traumas for 10 to 15 days after the operation.
